Although my primary audience research was only conducted by a small sample, there is clearly a trend within my data and from that I can construct a relatively accurate profile of what type of person i will be aiming my video at and from what I already know about those who will enjoy my video.
You will be able to see some of the questions which i asked my sample, about their favourite genres, ages, gender and what they thought would keep them interested about a pop music video, which is very important to me as this is what i will be needing to do if i am to hope to get my audience to watch my video for longer than one minute.
My audience who answered my questionnaire and replied back were primarily female, stereotypically sticking to the type of person who enjoys pop music and ageing between 17/18 (students).
Those who did enjoy the pop genre also liked dance which was interesting to me because this allows me to be able to include some of these characteristics into my pop video in order to appeal to a wider audience.
From the lyrics of the song being about a breakup, from the girls perspective; i am going to aim my music video towards a female audience although it could still appeal to a male audience from the interesting visuals i hope to include. My video is going to be focusing on the emotions of the girl within the video, showing the independents she has away from her boyfriend and the empowerment she feels.
